Hm. I don't lose the music when the commentators talk, it just goes a little lower. As a non-skater, I appreciate their technical information, and I don't agree they "delight in every error." They're skaters, and they like to see young skaters doing well as much as any of us. Several times, they pointed out good choreography as opposed to the one-two-three stunt skating Plushenko typifies, and spoke very appreciatively indeed of Johnny Weir, Jeffrey Buttle, Daisuke Takahashi and (especially) Shawn Sawyer, who all bode very well indeed for the future of the sport.

I totally agree with how irritating the commentators are during a performance. These are people who have given up a lot, have trained for many years, obviously they are talented, because they made it to the Olympics. Let them have their day without all the negativity from the three stooges! They might be on that day, and they might be off that day, they still deserve the respect of making it to the Olympics. Let the judges make the final call. Enough is enough already!

I can not believe that two men who fell on their butts ended up with medals. I think their "new" system really stinks.

I have to agree. They're pretty annoying. You could always mute it and just watch the skating. Of course then you'd miss the music, altogether, but it's always an option.

I am ready to take a sledge hammer to the 3 NBC commentators on figure skating. What malevolent *sses! And they are so wrong in their merciless hypercriticism of programs which they trash and the judges reward with high scores. Pompous loudmouths! They delight in every error and fall or missed jump, and show every fault in slow motion, but never the triumphs and gorgeous details of the performances.
Worst of all, they never shut up! The blather on inanely right through every program, and they have the nerve to lower the music so that we can only hear their snarky jabbering. Is anyone else irritated by these idiots? Is there any way to get them to just shut up?

Thank you. Sorry about morphing skaters. Perhaps if they could have been morphed, they would have been able to win a medal.
