Well, it looks like the highest number of medals Chad can now hope for is three. I have to wonder how he even wound up racing the 1000m, if he’s only raced it a few times. Were there no other speed skaters on the US team who could have raced? Not that I don’t want Chad to race— just wondering. Presumably, that means he had one of the highest qualifying times, but it still seems an odd choice. On the other hand, if he’s only raced it a few times, imagine how good he could be at it with more practice.
