I think Sasha is amazing! She was just nervous and could'nt make it 4 minutes. She should have won not Japan. Sasha really deserved that metal!

For some reason Sasha did not trust herself in her long program. You could see it in her eyes during the warmup, which was scary. After the two mistakes she skated a beautiful and passionate program. I hope she can carry the positive aspects of her Olympics experience forward to the Worlds which are not that far off.

I think Sasha was scared of those jumps probably for a variety of reasons. She didn't do well in the warm-up, the idea of being unable to be first when she has wanted it so badly before probably among her thoughts. Her eyes were troubled. So my best guess is that she didn't trust herself. I have done performance work on the piano and my teacher always told me that to perform well you make sure you do the work prior to the performance. Then when it comes time to perform, trust yourself. With Sasha, the jumps were where she did not trust herself, but once she got through that her spirit lightened and her smile came back. That part of the program she knew she could do. There is so much about her skating and grace that deserves a gold medal. I wonder if hypnosis would help her trusting herself in those jumps, and I wonder just how much her leg actually did impede her, no matter what she did not say about that.

I'm not sure whether Sasha's problem was an injury or nerves. It did seem she was limping a bit.

I was really hoping that Sasha Cohen could have done better in her warm up. Maybe, she could have nailed those two jumps. Oh Well. At the next winter olympics Kimmie Meissner should be a better skater. I thought that Emily Hughes's performance was absolutely exterordinary! It was all good except for that one little fall. I was very much hoping that she could have stayed in first place. I thought the Olympics went O.K. this year.
