One of the most incredible events of any Olympic games. I tried to record it but the sound gave out just before the choir sang. Anyone got a copy they would be willing to share?

I haven’t watched yet, but I Tivo’d it, so I’m watching it tonight! I just want to say thank you for your blog, it was one of the most absolute things that I had to check everyday during these Olympics. I don’t know where you got most of your info, but you’re pretty good! I’m definitely going to have to check out your other blogs as well. Thanks for covering these Olympics and for provide great fulfillment in my day!
Thanks so much for your kind words, Leevie. I have to say, out of all of our blogs, I think my husband’s “If I were President” blog is the most entertaining. And I’m not saying that just because he’s my husband Make sure to check out his blog on global warming.
Believe it or not, there will be Olympic news up on the summer Olympic blog very soon. We’re hoping to have some very special coverage of the Beijing Olympics. It’s still in the works, so I can’t reveal too much, but if it works out it could be even more interesting than this year.

Does anyone know what was the song that they played during the ending credits, after the closing ceremonies, of the Olympics?
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me.

What a great closing ceremony! I was captivated. Ricky Martin was awesome and really rocked the place. Avril and Andrea was awesome also amongst the splendor of an Italian carnival. ...I missed the Opening Ceremony. Is there someplace I can buy a DVD of it?

would like an address to buy a tape of the closing ceremony , on the honoring of the war veteran who serve his country well. was happy to see him honored but as the ole adage goes things don’t always stay the same. thank goodness there is some good in this country for the better improvement of lives and well being. if you have and address for the ape to buy the closing cermony whole tape let me know asap. college paper is due in the fall.

The closing ceremonies were great. The Italians have a great metaphorical imagination.
But Bode Miller is a cop-out! Full of excuses, and I don’t have time anymore for his intellectualizing over hiding his failures.
